Speech-Language Pathology: Empowering Communication

Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) bring a wealth of expertise to address a range of communication and swallowing disorders. With a focus on functional speech, safe swallowing, and effective feeding techniques, our therapists employ a holistic approach to rehabilitation.

What sets our SLPs apart is their commitment to personalized care. They work tirelessly to develop and recover reliable communication skills for our patients, whether through verbal communication, functional sign language, or innovative communication boards.

Physical Therapy: Promoting Movement and Independence

Our Physical Therapy Department is renowned for its dynamic approach to pediatric rehabilitation. Our licensed therapists are not just experts in movement; they are passionate advocates for each child’s potential to live a full and active life.

Utilizing cutting-edge techniques and therapeutic exercises, our team strives to optimize mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent future disability. Our physical therapy services are designed to challenge and encourage children to achieve normal movement patterns through play and targeted activities.

  • Improvement of gross motor skills, including ambulation, gait, and mobility

  • Enhancement of balance, coordination, and postural control

Occupational Therapy: Supporting Daily Living

The Occupational Therapy team at Phoenix Center is dedicated to enabling children and adolescents to participate fully in daily activities. Through individualized evaluations and interventions, our therapists help patients develop the skills needed for successful daily living.

A CMS 5-Star Rated Facility in Quality Measures

Ratings for the quality measures are based on performance on 15 of the QMs that are currently posted on the Care Compare website. These include nine long-stay measures and six short-stay measures. Note that not all the quality measures that are reported on Care Compare are included in the rating calculations. In addition to an overall quality measure rating, separate QM ratings for short-stay measures and long-stay measures are also reported.
